I agree to the motion that online debating is more interesting than classroom debating.
Firstly, using the computer and debating would be much more interesting and easier for people who can type fast. It is much more interesting as we can search for evidence, examples etc on the net and show it to the other party easily. Example when you are not ready for the debate at least you could do impromptu research, whereas in real life you have to be very ready.
Secondly, online debates gives you more time to think and voice out your opinion, think of your points carefully before replying, and the debate would actually be fairer and even true. It allows you to do some research before you actually rebutt back to the other party. This can prevent you from losing the debate easily and the debate would get real fun. If the debate allows a indefinite number of posts and comments, it would be best.
Thirdly, in real life you tend to speak in broken english or get too agitated and bang the table and stuffs. Using online debates prevents one from getting too agitated and stay cool, it also improves ones' english as one tries to type in a more persuasive way. Just like what I am doing now.
Therefore, I stand to my stand that online debating is more interesting than classroom debating.
My points above supports my stand and I agree fully to it.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
