I believe both science and morality are indispensable part of our lives and they can't exist without each other. One keeps the other functioning in a correct way and checks for wrong use. For eg morality can be backed by science like sleeping with a number of people is considered wrong in many societies (science tells us that it increases the chances of getting STDs), scientific experiment of animals is wrong because it causes pain and pose threat to the animal in many ways which is a fact by science and hence morality says it shouldn't be done, likewise in Indian culture in some villages women are supposed to bleed in her first night of wedding as proof of her virginity, now we all believe that it is an immoral act and a wrong way of judgement (science says that hymen can be broken without losing virginity).
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
