You look to the killing of beings lesser than rats as the most immoral act committed by the United States? Something that cannot think or even feel pain?
How about drone strikes on innocent civilians? Or the irreversible damage done to the mental state of drone operators? Unjustly imprisoning hundreds of thousands of people for minor offences legal in other states? Torture and murder of suspected terrorists, most of whom were innocent? Allowing families to go bankrupt to pay for exorbitant medical fees should one of them fall seriously ill? The slaughter and maltreatment of billions of animals fed upon the destruction of our own environment so people can continue to live an unhealthy lifestyle?
Even these crimes still do not invalidate the wrongs of state murder, imprisonment, and torture of people in totalitarian states for witchcraft, homosexuality, apostasy, secularism, or protest.
