I think you’re right but it’s obviously the parents’ responsibility to keep an eye on their kids’ activities and explain them how social media should be used correctly.

Of course I have apps like WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook but I do not use them very often. I prefer to spend my time eating, sleeping or doing the English homeworks. One reason why people don’t like sending real letters could be that people become lazier and lazier from generation to generation. And sending a text message on What’sApp, Facebook etc. is way quicker than writing a whole letter.

But have you ever received a letter from your friends? It’s an amazing feeling and way more personal than getting a short answer to your previous messages. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t give up social media completely. It has become an important part of nowadays’ everyday life and even if I wanted to, I possibly couldn’t get along without digital communication or smartphone.
