When they're young they still need to be guided by parents. There are too many adults out there prepared to manipulate children. A lack of privacy is a small compromise to avoiding risks.

I think it's too far to claim that someone who doesn't paying a fine is no longer a citizen.

Yes, but every crime has a different level of punishment.

What if someone goes to prison for an unpaid fine. Their sentence is only a few months, but an election is held during that period. Should this person not have the right to vote?

Yes. Someone in prison for petty theft shouldn't lose the right to vote.

You could extend that idea to debating in general. I don't think internet debate sites suffer from this problem anymore than any other platforms for debate.
