While this may be true after you pick your side you will not change it because you will only see posts about you side and not about the OTHER!!

2 points

While this may be true the bigger issues in the world are impacting by social media and just seeing the posts you agree with you will not have a wider perspective

2 points

But we social media is made to show stuff that we like which are posts that we agree with. So we will barely see they other side!

The information shared to use can be false and can distort us and change are views even though it seems like the information is true you can never be sure

3 points

While social media can help different causes it also can cause more problems for example Misleading images claiming to depict violence in Myanmar and being being shared on social media are sowing distrust and undermining the work of human rights group, say campaigners...Circulation of misleading images follows an eruption of violence in Rakhine state that has killed more than 400 people and triggered an exodus of 40,000 Rohingya Muslims into Bangladesh.

Social media can tear down community in crises's by driving people apart false information about something can create two different sides and not help bring light to things in a positive way

6 points

Social media drives us apart instead of bring us together because

social media is made so you see only things you like or agree with which can turn moderate views into extreme views since you will not see another opinion.
