Yes, I agree with Peiyee that teenagers nowadays do not read as much as those in the past. Indeed, reading is important as it improves their language and also broadens their imagination. Reading a book is fun when you choose a book that you are interested in. As peiyee have said, reading do us good and no harm is done.
Hence, I agree with Peiyee's point of view.
Todays teenagers do not read as many books as a teenager even 10 or 20 years back used to. Why is it so? Is it because other forms of communication, learning and entertainment have taken over the ever popular "book" or is there some other reason? What do you think?
I think that reading is important to teenagers. Reading is an important skill that all parents need to encourage their children to master. A person who can read, and read well, is more likely to graduate from college; get a higher paying job; experience the joys of learning new things; and enjoy the stress-reducing entertainment of a good book. Reading also broadens a teenager's language which would be useful in school and when communicating with people in other parts of the world.
Teenagers nowadays feels that books are boring because of latest technology such as computer games, television programmes, which are already enough to entertain or to spend their free time. Books are now replaced with movies, where teenagers feel more relaxed watching a movie than reading a book. Also, some teenagers find books hard to read or the words are too small and cramped, therefore, not reading books.
In conclusion, I feel that reading is important to teenagers.
