In conclusion, online debating is more interesting as it allows us to have clearer and stronger arguments than classroom debating as it is free of anxiety and pressure, and we are able to make clearer and stronger arguments because of the evidences and sources we have in the vast internet.

Online debating is free from anxiety and pressure, as there are no expectations of you to answer. Therefore, it allows EVERYONE in this society to express their views freely, regardless of their speaking abilities and we can make stronger and clearer arguments.

Quoted from Octavilia

"I do not entirely agree that online debating is more interesting than classroom debating. In debating, there's a need to show our facial and voice expression in order to convince the audience as well as the the opposing team on our stand. With such expressions then we can better argue our points and rebut the other team. Words typed on the screen may not bring out the emotions as much as in classroom debating."

Emotions are small factors in an argument, while facts and evidences are the IMPORTANT parts of an argument, in an online debate, we obtain solid and strong sources and evidences. Without them the argument is null, I think that the facts and arguments you have still outweighs the little emotions that we use to appeal to the audience.

In fact, when you are debating, you have to try to keep emotion out of your arguments. Losing your head during a crucial moment in an argument can cause you to lose the debate and weaken your side of any future debates.

Passion is a driving force in almost everything we do, but when emotion is tossed into it and forms a mix, things can go downhill fast. When you are debating, you have to try to keep emotion out of your arguments, to ensure clear and well-thought arguments.

In conclusion, emotions compared to the countless pieces of evidences we can obtain from strong sources through the internet at a short time, emotions are outweighed. Facts and evidence strengthens your argument better than emotions. Therefore, it does not prove that classroom debating convinces the audience better than online debating because of emotions, making online debating more interesting than classroom debating.

Quoted from Octavilia

"Also, in classroom debating, we can time ourselves and thus within that time-frame, we can test ourselves on the points we managed to argue and rebut. However, in online debating, it is more likely that one is spending more than 3 minutes or 1 minutes typing out his points, thus that kind of debating may not be fair compared to classroom debating."

In classroom debate, it tests how fast you react during the debate, it doesn't prove that you do not have the evidence as the other side might ask you a question that requires u to give examples, you will be trying to think of rebuttals in a pressurized situation under a time limit, which affects your answers.

Whereas, in online debating, the audience does not expect you to deliver in any amount of time, once you have a proper answer, with solid pieces of evidence, you are making an argument, therefore online debating allows you to prepare for better answers, as the Internet is in our own hands, facts and sources are found instantly.

As time does not play a part in supporting your argument. Therefore, online debating allows you to give clearer and stronger answers as we have an unlimited amount of time compared to classroom debating that has a time limit to think about your rebuttals, which allows you to argue much more efficiently, making online debating more interesting than classroom debating.

In conclusion, online debating is more interesting as it allows us to have clearer and stronger arguments than classroom debating as it is free of anxiety and pressure, and we are able to make clearer and stronger arguments because of the evidences and sources we have in the vast internet.

I completely agree. We are free to express ourselves. We will not be afraid to speak our views because of our bad speaking skills. Our argument could be edited and organised before we post it, compared to classroom debating, we are needed to think about questions in a short time, and sometimes we might not be able to come up with a clear argument and we might fail in bringing across our arguments. Classroom debates pressurises us more than online debating as the audience expects to argue properly and correctly.

I disagree. Confidence is found in the points that are made by the debaters, throughout their sources, if their sources are reliable, they will have a lot of confidence when debating. Additionally, confidence is shown when we rebutt, make points, basically throughout the entire debate, we are confident in making our points, but we are only confident to an extent, depending on how strong our argument is.

Online debating is much more interesting than classrom debating. The reasons are clear, the internet, one of the largest sources of information is in our hands, facts are found by the click of a mouse, almost instantly, we could obtain solid information from the different reliable sources. We can check if a point made by someone is true or false, simply by searching the internet, checking for different reliable sources. We could obtain statistics, valuable information and different opinions from other websites. Online debating allows everyone to take part, regardless of where we are, and we get to see different opinions.
