marijuance creates LACK of concentration, not an increase of concentration!

Marijuana is addicting, no matter what you say. If made legal, it will become a competitive market just like any other thing. (At least for those who don't grow it). That would mean there would still be [illegal] sellers, as they would be breeding more powerful strains to get more powerful amount of THC levels.

The more powerful it is the more addicting. Substance abuse is a health problem. We already have a huge health-care industry centered around alcohol/drug abuse. You want to add to the list?

The Tobacco Companies wait in anticipation so they can start packaging and selling to more idiots. That's right--I'm talking marijuana. No doubt they pay for studies to try to prove that marijuana is "harmless". They see big dollar signs, just like with tobacco.

The FDA would have to get involved to "put a limit" on "acceptable" drug levels. They would also have to enforce these rules, And just like with alcohol, they have to watch for "bootleg" sellers who try to sell dangerous products. Everyone will (still) want their piece of the pie.

Once legal and commercilized, competition will be fierce so at first the price will be low, but just like with gas, they will slowly squeeze you dry.

They aren't really locking people up for possession of a small amount anymore. Those people may go to jail if they are driving under the influence, but they aren't usually kept in jail. Most people get fines.

They usually only incarcerate the dealers, and sometimes not even the small time dealers do much time. They're after the bigger guys.

The prisons are full, and possession of marijuana ranks at the low end of the scale for jail time.

Why add another drug to the list of legal ones that can screw you up?

Why don't we just do like Mexico? You can get anything you want on a street-corner "pharmacia".

if it's legal it means there will be more of it, more people smoking it, and more problems associated with it. It's been proven that marijuana affects short-term memory and motor skills, and gets stored in the fatty tissue for up to 10 days or longer.

Children can already get it but if it's legal they will get even more of it. There will be no control of it because it can be grown.

Therefore it can't be taxed.

Using the "medicinal value" isn't a good excuse because they can isolate the medicinal value of the plant from the mind-altering part.

Being illegal has been somewhat of a deterrant but if we take off the deterrant more people will be stoned more often. (take abortion for example). More of it around equals more children ggetting ahold of it. Is this what you want?

More people getting stoned more often means the chance of them coming to work high. This creates a safety issue for EVERYONE, including the quality of any products that come from that company. Do you want to be driving a car put together by a stoner?

If you own a business would you hire someone who is a daily pot smoker? Your insurance company would dump you quick if that's the case. That's why they implement drug screening at the work place. The insurance companies are behind it.

If you want to smoke pot don't expect to keep your job. Even if it's legal.

They can even take your kids away for it. Divorces can get messy ya know.

Perhaps, but it would be extremely hard to enforce. Look at China as an example. What would they do to people who violate the rule?

There are other countries that need to take a hard look at population control also, but humans aren't very smart when it comes to controlling their urges. Add "morals" and "right to procreate" to it and it will only be a matter of personal choice, like it is now.

the only thing you can do is OFFER Birth Control, and look where that's gotten us. Teens have access to BC but they still keep getting pregnant.

This whole world needs to take a good look at population control, but who are you going to FORCE into doing it? Are you going to force people to have abortions? Are you going to force people to get fixed?

Some people should not even be parents in the first place, but even that can't be stopped. How do you tell that to a country that worships life so much that they let cows run free in the streets?

India isn't the only one.

There are arguements for and against. Some people can be allergic. Not everybody likes what someone else may be wearing. Sometimes a person puts on too much.

Imagine if everyone were wearing strong perfume/cologne.

On the other hand, just about everything contains perfume of some kind! Soaps, shampoos, hair spray, conditioners, and lotions contain perfume, so you can't always blame the perfume itself. A tiny amount is ok, as long as you can't be smelled from a 3 feet away. So how do you tell someone their perfume "stinks"? You shouldn't! You should be polite about it. A general rule should be established. MODERATION. If too many people complain there's a problem.

They are logically genderless but sometimes we need to attribute a label in order to differientate. Example: A "female" and a "male" plug.

When labelling other objects it is probably due to gender-specific traits, or the naming of them reminds someone of that particular gender.

A car becomes "she" because it's sleek and smooth, for example. Or a guy names his boat after a female that he is fond of, and the boat then becomes a "she".

I've given some of my cars male names, but they still ran like a car. They wouldn't have performed any different than if they weren't named, and certainly not in any gender-specific way.

Notice that not many objects are considered "male". Does that mean a male object isn't really worth it?

It's funny that men are so jealous that they've even started naming hurricanes after themselves. Us women can't have anything all to ourselves.

Historically, females were not given as many educational opportunites as males. Thousands and thousands of years of genetic breeding may PERHAPS account for the disportion. Even today there is still an attitude that encourages the male over the female...in just about ALL areas of society. Child-rearing is considered the lowest job, yet it is actually the hardest. Plus, I'd like to see a guy push a canteloupe out his butt and not cry!

Biologically, the male has a much higher amount of testosterone, which is the hormone that controls agression. It might explain why we are constantly hurting and killing each other. It certainly explains why females are dominated over.

By definition, a genius is someone with a high IQ. This is an inherited factor. Therefore a genius is "born".

It's what a person does with their intelligence that matters.Every person has something to contribute in life.

I have seen a lot of highly intelligent people that have no common sense, nor a well-balanced personality. I place more importance on the latter.

Bush's side dug up some dirt on Kerry so Kerry pulled out. Otherwise, he would have been a better President. That was obvious. He was ahead and then suddenly quit.

Cats are easier to take care of. They clean themselves regularly and don't smell. They don't need to be locked up in the yard or put on a leash. They don't make a lot of noise (bark) to disturb the neighbors. They don't risk a lawsuit by biting someone. You don't have to walk them for exercise. They don't gorge themselves on food, so you don't have to watch what they eat. You can put a litter box in the house and they will use it. They bury their waste when they go outside--and you wont have to clean it up, smell it, or step in it.

Cats don't slobber all over you. Their purring sound is a comfort. It has been proven that petting a cat and hearing it purr can lower your blood pressure.
