Most gun control activists don’t dispute the right to own a gun. However, they believe that adding stipulations to gun ownership is not a restriction of a citizen’s rights. Preventing gun owners from buying especially dangerous arms like assault rifles is certainly not unconstitutional. Neither is using the law to ensure that only law abiding citizens are able to attain guns.

It’s simply reasonable to assume that less guns would mean less shootings. Many pro-gun control activists point out that lawful gun owners are more likely to injure themselves or a loved one than an intruder. Guns may simply not be an effective form of self defense. By restricting their use, you cut down on gun crime.

Ten-thousand, five-hundred, twenty-seven people die a year in a handgun related incidents in the United States. This number, by far, out weighs those gun related deaths in countries such as Sweden, Great Britain, and Japan, which number 13, 22, and 87 respectively. This is ridiculous and I feel if more people were against gun control this number would be A L O T lower.

Against gun control is the right thing to be because when you have a gun you can do some crazy things, things no one in theie right mind would think of doing. If you have some one that may be depressed in your household that can lead to many deaths in your home and to the person that may be depressed because " the miserable do need company ".

I am for gun control, people with guns may feel more safe or protected. Knowing that you have a gun in your home or where ever it is you may be can make you feel less uptight. You have that feeling of being "okay". Your not worried about anything because you know that if anything were to happen your safe because you have a gun.

I am against gun control because guns have taken innocent lives. Such as Martin Luther King Jr, a very very important person. Who played a major role in our country. If more people were against gun control, I feel that MLK would still be here unless he past away from natural causes or just being sick. People say " guns don't kill people, people kill people " that's not true because once again if more people were against gun control it would be a while before that person who was planning to kill someone got a gun and by the time they got a gun " killing someone " would no longer be in their head.

I am for gun control because there are times when you really do need to defend yourself. And a gun is a very powerful weapon. I say this because if someone was to break into your house and if you had a knife you need to atleast get close to them but with a gun you can shoot from distance hopefully you have good aim. Any other objects you would have to get close to the person which is putting you in more danger than you already were in.

I am against gun control because there is a less chance of people getting hurt in the house hold. And because there would be less accidental deaths. Also because people think that they are invincible with a gun but without guns it would most likely limit the fights, and deaths.

I am for gun control because guns can protect us if they are used correctly. I also think that it should take longer because guns can fall into the wrong hands. I know that you have to have a license but its to easy to just get a gun. People such as police, and men and women in the army need guns.

I am against gun control because people dont realize how dangerous guns are. Yes it is used for protection but it is also used to harm others, the death rates are already high and we dont need it to go any higher.
