We need more people to check out this debate! More and more people need to say NO! Come on! Back me up and maybe I can take this to my Congressman to show him the harm internet censorship is causing to our society! You guys, anyone out there, I need your help! AND NOW!!!
ALERT! ALERT! ALERT! FIRST AMENDMENT VIOLATION! ALERT! ALERT! ALERT! IF YOU CATCH THESE VIOLATIONS, IMMEDIATELY CALL THE AUTHORITIES! ALERT! ALERT! ALERT! FIRST AMENDMENT VIOLATION! WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR CIVAL RIGHTS?!?!?!? WHERE HAVE OUR FREE SPEECH, FREE PRESS, AND FREE PETITION RIGHTS GONE, HUH?!?!?!?!?
Who asked the damn administrators for their oppinion? Do you think I care what those overly powered oafs want to impose on us? Those overly authorative administrators want the world to seem "clean" and "child-safe", but what good would having our children skip blissfully down the sidewalk, unaware of all the bad things that happen around them almost all day, every second of the day. If the children are aware of the dangers and consequences of those bad things, they should be able to first think twice before taking a single stride in that direction again. I think awareness is the best kind of "internet censorship" in the world. As long as one is aware of dangers and consequences, that person can be safe, knowing that he has to avoid that danger before he starts taking strides twoard the wrong direction. That is how I feel about internet censorship in schools and i will stand against web filters and for the 1st amendment, which has been impeded and abused so much.
Besides the School Administrators are given too much power and authority. They think they can impose their moral values, principles, and standards on people (particularly me) who don't give a crap about it! Well guess what? They've got another thing coming! D:< This means war!!!
Cute? He's a butt-ugly wannabe scud who thinks is all that! In fact, all those stupid celebrity morons out there who think that they are soooooo good and that they require attention from everyone 24/7 should just step back and hide in the shadows where they belong. I mean imagine how much better society would be without dumb celebrity morons who think that they can get away with everything!
GET THE FK OFF THE STAGE, BIEBER, BEFORE I MAKE YOU!!! D:< BEIBER, ALL YOU ARE IS SOME STUPID PRETTY BOY FAGGOT WHO THINKS HE KNOWS WHAT LOVE IS!! BIEBER, SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND STOP SINGING! GET A JOB AND STOP TRYING TO BE A POP STAR, WHICH IS WHAT YOU KNOW YOU WILL NEVER BE!!! D:< I jsut had to get that off my chest!
Anyone who agrees with me should join the NCAC (National Coalition Against Censorship) and we can fight against thes Internet restrictions and keep others from imposing their moral views on us!!
Bellow is the link to the NCAC website. Please, if you have the time, visit the website and join the coalition.
And plus all this Internet restriction in Schools does is impose someone else's ridiculous moral standards on people who don't care or want to hear about it, in particular, me! I don't really give two licks about other people's moral standards! The only moral standards that there should be are not to impose someone else's point of view on anyone!!!
Plus, the world is not as "clean" as people wants us to think! All the Internet filters in schools do is impose other people's point of views on everyone and prevent people from facing reality!!!
When I was in High School back in 2000, I remember that in the computer labs it was common for the children to use their time to play on FreeArcade, or the Incredible Machine, or SimCity/Towers.
They also brought in viruses to the network.
True True.
What kinds of websites were they? Academic? Comics? Youtube/Facebook? A lot of students get their material from sites that are not academic.
Acedemic
It depends on what the type of website is. For example, some students may get their news from forums and use them to research (truly). They would therefore complain about the block.
Yeah this is true. You have broght up some good points, but not enough to sway me.
I'm not really interested in swaying you yet because I have to get more information from you, specifics that would make or break my case with you.
Also this isn't internet censorship. It is school censorship. The difference is that you can go home and view that content you want unimpeded.
I have no computer access at home. Plus, School censorship also includes school censorship of the internet. And the title of this debate is , "Should there be so much internet censorship in schools?" And my answer to that question is and will always be a big fat "NO"!
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
