I guess I might support this under certain circumstances, but the logistics are a serious problem. Hell, they can't even count whole votes. I can't even imagine them trying to count half votes and whole votes. Who knows though, it could work someday,

I actually heard a while ago that on Easter Island, when there were food shortages, tribes would engage in a sporting contest to see who got the food. The system did eventually collapse because of european contact though. I think that this system already is somewhat in effect in the form of the olympic games and many other international sporting competitions. I guess I could see this stopping wars due to simple national pride, but not much else.

I knew someone who had a cocaine-related heart attack and they said it hurt like hell. I guess it depends.

Dante's inferno is an extremely cheap rip off of GOW. I've played both and I can definitely say that Dante's Inferno is crap compared to God of War.

If China were to invade the USA they could probably beat our military. However, we would be impossible to occupy due to freedom loving gun owners(like myself). If the USA wanted to invade China, we would have a very tough time beating their massive military but we would have an easy time occupying them afterwords due to their docile populous. This is all assuming that it would be a conventional war of course. In a nuclear war both sides would obliterate each other.

I agree with you, hi is just too small. Not quite sure why. I generally go with hey or hiya for the casual stuff.

But are you? I would normally have no problem with curing diseases, but genetic engineering, especially the type mentioned here (germ line cell therapy) can have severe consequences for future generations if it is messed up. Often mistakes can not show up for several generations meaning that countless people could be affected by some horrible unforeseen genetic disease.

I recently did a paper on this for school so I may be able to share some info. First off, there are three types of genetic engineering. Somatic cell therapy, germ line cell therapy and cloning. I assume that cloning does not apply to this debate. Somatic cells are diploid(2 chromosome) standard non-reproductive cells. Germ line cells are haploid(1 chromosome) reproductive cells, specifically sperm and egg. This is the one you mention. The problem with genetic engineering is that the science isn't perfect. Often when a gene is altered it affects many traits. So while altering a gene may get rid of a disease it could have much worse consequences, even later in a person's life. Somatic engineering is morally permissible in my opinion because it can only affect the person who it is administered to. In other words it will not affect their offspring. Germ line therapy, however, could have very severe consequences due to the fact that it can be passed down to the recipient's offspring and all of their offspring and so on. So if the scientist messes up and creates a problem that doesn't show up for several generations, that problem could affect countless people. In my opinion germ line therapy, the type you mentioned, is not morally permissible because of this. The science still has much room for improvement so until it's perfected I would advise caution for all types of genetic engineering, especially types that could affect future generations.

The only reasons why people are doing this are A: he's black and has a muslim-sounding name. B: they want attention for themselves. Did people do this to Bush or Clinton? I certainty don't think so. It's obviously been delusional from the start. He showed his certificate of live birth which is all most states even issue. That is more proof than a lot of candidates give. The news media needs be responsible and quit giving air time to people like Donald Trump and start actually focusing on important stuff.

I'd take a headshot with a high powered rifle while charging at the enemy in battle. Totally painless, instant death. Wouldn't even see it coming. Then I would get sent back home and get added to some meaningful statistic. Then years later the history books will be saying 10001 people died in war x instead of 10000 and people will curse the almost-even number.
