It depends on the definition. The "speech expressing hatred of a particular group of people" one is real. You can express hatred for a group.

However; If you are referring to the " You offended me" as being hate speech, then no. The problem with this idea, is that you don't say this version of hate speech, you hear it. What I mean is that the person saying it isn't the judge, The receiver of the idea is. This makes saying anything a potential issue. When you stop the spread of ideas, you stop progress.

What if it is a slightly altered viewpoint.

What if new information is added. Slowly over time. Think of a DNA strand. That strand has the ability to be damaged, say decay or radiation, that causes some of the genetic make up to be altered slightly. Then this cell will either A) die B) Not be effected or C) the cell will excel. If the cell can live or thrive then it will go through mitosis, thus spreading the gene. When a new offspring is made, it is more susceptible to mutations due to the smaller amount of initial cells. These mutations of genes are what I would refer to as evolving. Over time, these mutations would become new species until they mutated again, or died. Some cells would be more susceptible to mutation over time, so some would stay relatively unchanged.

I want to work through what you said. I have a counter for you.

"Do you even read what you post on here?" - Not for me, skipping

"Most scientists agree that time and space had a beginning." - I agree that most scientist believe this. I do not agree that means it is true. I can see where people could conceptualize time, and for time to work it needs a beginning. It may not have a beginning of time rather a sort or birth date. The big bang would be a good example of a time where we could mark time.

"So, if there was no time and space before the big bang, when and where did the big bang happen?" - Great question, I am working through a theory that the big bang didn't create the universe. The big bang was the universe. A supersaturated black hole that imploded then exploded, thus redistributing everything it contained. I do not believe there was one big bang, rather a cycle of collection, compaction, explosion (Maybe rather Supersaturated)

"Also, every bit of scientific knowledge we possess states that nothing physical can be eternal." I would disagree. "Matter cannot be created nor destroyed" - Antoine Lavoisier. Antoine would disagree as well.

"Sure, some claim energy has always existed. " - As of now I would agree.

"They say this because they have no way of explaining it's existence." - I think it always existed in some form. Similar to above.

" Energy cannot be created or destroyed...by humans. God would have no problem with that." - True, but what if you thought that humans use the concepts of gods to explain what we don't understand. rain or water gods for example. Earlier cultures believed that praying to a water god would make it rain. When we look back, it looks silly because we know that rain happens due to evaporation. Hence no longer needing a god to explain it. The entire concept of a god is interesting because at some point in history it became an established final answer to what we don't know.

I hope you can see what I am trying to say. I am new here and hope I can make my thoughts clear. If not let me know.
