By monetary capital I mean the money in which is enjected into our elections by which politicians fallow counter to what their base or perhaps constituency want.

In the Obama and Goldman Sachs example it would be increased reform/regulations of the financial sector.

I attribute America's vast and growing income inequality along with our trademarked money in politics issues at hand to justify why I agree with the proposition above.

Politicians seem to be governed far more by monetary capital than political capital.

Nowhere near enough of an egalitarian society for the good ol' USA to be deemed a democracy.

I assume your trying to say that the narrative of superheroes is wrong in general. "Help where there is none"? Is that it? If so, even than it really isn't much as misleading as it is moral teaching..? You know like "Be the change you seek"?

Initially I was in absolute agreement with this proposition but than I realized I want everybody to be "educated voters". First of all, intelligence is pretty fricken hard to measure and the idea that we can all come to the conclusion as one nation and define what constitutes a required education for a hypothetical "license to vote" gives me doubts.

Something tells me the creator of this precise proposition isn't exactly after the idiot voter as much as they're after the presumed conservative or liberal voter due to their (and I'm guessing) gross amount of hate for their political opponents.

I agree that every voter should be "educated". I just don't believe we should take away the right vote.

I see his comment to be merely a liberal attempt to establish a rule of thumb stating that if you're a wealthy individual, be a little humble. Understand that you've achieved your wealth with the help of other people in some way shape or form.. Thus feeding the narrative especially in the debate regarding taxes that it's not just YOUR fruits of labor in question that the left wants to be taxed. Conservatives I realize are immune to this line of logic, but nevertheless the president did not explicitly go out of his way to commit political suicide.

Freedom is typically viewed as an universally cherished element in American society. The idea that you would go out of your way to post a question suggesting your fellow Americans on the other side of the isle do not share this same value as you is somewhat insulting.
