I disagree, what if crude oil really runs out? What if; in this world anything is possible so why not think of the future as a big impact will impact you, I also wish you would write something appropriate unlike the following above about urination and please write a why of you disagree with me! If urine will work (I've heard), but I recommend that you write something more appropriate or you will be my enemy which you will regret a lot!

Certainly. Reading is an essential life skill. School is there to prepare kids for what comes next. Certainly, there are children who already read plenty and are fine readers. However, others are not so blessed and many would have benefited greatly if they had learned to read better in school.

Many people disagreeing with this do so because they fear "required reading," specific books that may or may not be enjoyed by readers. While I do think at least a few books should be "required reading," that is not really the topic of the debate. "Should children be required to read more" taken literally just means what it says. No specific books involved.

So Easy to Say "Yes" ,but Look Again The question is asking whether children should be "required" to read more. That implies that there is either a governmental or scholastic stipulation for children to read more in order to pass certain gates in their life. While anyone will say the more you read the better (and I agree), I think the "requirement" portion of this should rest in the hands of the parents of these children. The parents at that point in their lives should know how valuable reading is, and they should be the ones enforcing a certain level of reading, rather than placing the burden on schools and/or other rules and regulations facilities.

Reading is the Key to an Education. Children should read more in and out of school. Reading is the key to getting a good education as it opens up the path to everything else. If kids can't read, they don't learn science, math and health. Children need to be able to read to broaden their minds in class, at home and on the Internet.

Yes it should. Why do people need guns when leaving in such a protected place. in Japan here, the place is calming and not attacks can be heard, why not drop down those guns and make a world the calming place.

The gun laws are outdated I myself am not American, but In my opinion guns should be banned, or have very strict laws placed on them. I know the other side goes on about having "a right to bare arms", which is all well and good, but having studied american history, it is easy to see that the main reason guns and possibly the creed "a right to bare arms" itself existed as America was an incredibly lawless place at one time, and so people needed to have their own means of protection. But we're in the 21st century now, leave protection to those who's jobs it is to protect people, people who are well-trained like police officers etc.

Simply, America's obsession with guns is little more than paranoia and a fear of change, and while some individuals may offer compelling arguments of why the law should stay, it's undeniable that a majority are simply afraid of change.
