Absolutely! Everyone has a right to be safe and secure in their dwelling. Everyone should be allowed to protect that dwelling through the use of force. Their is absolutely zero reason that anyone should enter a house that they do not reside in unless they have been invited in. Your home is a safe place. If someone threatens the safety of it, their safety shall be jeopardized also. If every burglar knew that they would be shot, stabbed, or beaten every time that they entered a home that was not theirs, this would be a very big deterrent. Burglars prefer easy targets. That being said, Be a Hard Target!

Less than lethal ammunition is not non-lethal. It still has the ability to inflict serious bodily injury and even death. Police officers have a dangerous job. Even with all of the police shootings, the majority of the shootings are justified. The media just blows up the small percentage of unjustified shootings.

We give law enforcement the power to do their jobs to do their best at keeping our neighborhoods safe. They are already out gunned by criminals who have illegal firearms that far exceed the capabilites of those that we arm our law enforcement with. How is downgrading their ammunition to rubber bullets going to help them keep themselves and others alive?

Law enforcment officials have to use their best judgement, using their training and knowledge, in accordance with their use of force policy, to make a spit second decision in a potentially life threatening situation. So why would we add to their stress and the danger of their jobs by giving them rubber bullets? Shall we just issue them and all the criminals paint ball guns to play with? This would be like taking a mechanics tools away and leaving him with a crescent wrench and a rubber hammer.

Before I get to the end consumer and the actual question of the debate I want to make a quick statement. Companies that produce recyclable content should be taxed heavily if they are not producing their containers with a large percentage of post consumer content.

People that do not recycle should be fined. However, enforcing such a thing would be basically impossible unless you want the government digging through your weekly trash and leaving tickets on your door. Furthermore, different areas have different abilities to recycle certain items.

Recycling is the responsible thing to do. There is enough waste and toxins on earth that there is no reason for anyone to knowingly add to it. Why would you not want to recycle?

With the culture in America and an increasing elderly population, supporting the elderly is a difficult task. In America it is not in our culture to care for our parent, grandparents etc, when they reach old age. That is why we have an incredible amount of nursing homes, senior living centers etc. That being said, who's responsibility is it?

The majority of senior citizens are not collecting a retirement, and many that are collecting retirement are not making enough to support a living wage. Is it really that big of a deal if they get a free pass on public transportation? What about those that do not have family support, which is rather common?

For those who are not collecting retirement, they are collecting social security alone. What are they supposed to do with $744/month? Many may still be paying a mortgage and have other bills like the rest of us.

It is our duty to help our elders and not throw them away and treat them like peasants.

He is referring to natural selection. Historically, everything that adapts or evolves does so over time. The ones less suitable for the environment will not survive naturally. If medicine and science are creating things to prevent people from dying due to their inability to survive the environment means that more "undesirable" genes will be passed on to the next generation as opposed to being selected against by the environment.

Examples: Many people with disabilities would not survive without medicine, therapy, etc. A hundred years ago and more, people with Down Syndrome would not survive. People who are born crippled or with severe physical disabilities would not survive. Is it a good thing that we are able to help these people? Yes, of course it is. The person was just stating that medicine and science has allowed for these genes to survive and be passed down, thus slowing the evolution that would have been natural in a completely natural environment.

Equality is always, and will always be a good thing. Treating everyone equally is treating every human being as a human being. How would this cause harm? God forbid that everyone was treated as if they had the same worth as the next person. The world may fall apart if everyone felt worthy of being a human.

If equality existed in a perfect world, across the board, these would be likely outcomes. Human trafficking would not exist, all religions would get along even if they disagree on the aspect of the right religion, kids would not be sexually assaulted, women would not be raped, there would be no reason for war, there would be no racism or sexism or classism or homophobia, there would be no murder or rape or robbery. So yeah, equality is a good thing.

And for the record...equality has nothing to do with everyone having the same things and the same wage or identical looking husbands and wives. Equality has to do with recognizing that every person has worth.

There are passages in the Bible that do not condone homosexual acts between men. I have not seen anything specific to women. However, the Bible instructs us not to judge as it is not our job. In fact, it states that being judgmental will only cause more trouble in the end.

Gay rights are a facet of human rights. Human rights are of the utmost importance. The Bible instructs us to love our neighbor. It instructs us to honor others above ourselves. Any true Christian who follows the Bible is not judgmental, does not harm others, does not oppress others, and helps others, regardless of who they are or what they believe in.

So to all the fake Christians out there... Start getting real. You have no right to judge, but if you choose to, you will be judged harshly. Also, if you choose to judge and do it intentionally, stop claiming that you are a Christian. Do I believe in homosexuality? No, that is why I am straight. Do I believe that people are allowed to have sexual relations with whoever they choose? That is up to them, not me.

Religion is a defining word used to describe those that believe in something (God, Goddess etc.). Religion in and of itself does nothing.

People cause more harm than good! In fact, people have seemingly caused more harm than good for centuries. This question can be anything. Do politics cause more harm than good? Again, no! People corrupt politics and use it to do harm. Do cars cause the most deaths in the U.S.? Well car accidents do. Cars happened to be operated by people. So once again, people are the common denominator in causing harm.
