I disagree. We are at the same level of "improvement" of medicine and there is still no advancement or cure for cancer or other "incurable diseases". People are still overdosing on opioids and if we had to pay for it ourselves, wealthy people are at a higher advantage, which puts us at the same place we were before.
I agree 100%. America spends money on other things that aren't necessary or needed. Citizens of the U.S. struggle with finances from unnecessary bills from the government. In Canada, healthcare is a priority. If we're paying taxes on something, it should actually benefit us instead of damaging us in our pockets.
I support universal healthcare for all due to the amount of debt people in the United States experience after doctor visits. Medical expenses can be very high even if you have insurance, so healthcare is very necessary and beneficial. Universal healthcare would be more effective than struggling with 1000+ expenses.
