Just because the prisoners get more government handouts, and "action", does not mean they have more freedom. Freedom is to do what you want, when you want, and have the government protect those rights. Pure government reliance is practically like slavery.

That's not true at all. Here's why.

In capitalism, everyone is an individual. The citizen (or worker, what ever you want to call them) is recognized for their talents and creativity, and is rewarded accordingly. With better skills and effort comes better pay because businesses need talent and creativity to be successful. Talent and creativity is what fuels innovations. The Wright brothers are a great example. Their input to the world of aviation was unmatched and they were greatly rewarded for it.

With communism, a hard working, talented, and ambitious young person is payed just as much as his drunken neighbor for performing the same menial task forced upon them by the government.

Live life to the fullest. You'll never be successful leeching off others

A Porsche is better for the "fun" aspect of driving, but BMW's are more economical. But who wants convenience at the cost of fun, Porsche all the way!

It was a 360 Modena. He has since sold it, but i thought it made a good example for my argument. :)

For learning about the modern day world, your better off traveling and experiencing things in person. A text book has chances of being biased and one sided anyway. If you travel, you have the opportunity to see ecosystem, environments, landmarks, museums, governments, economic situations, ect. first hand, for what they really are.

As for history, revert to text books, because we don't have time machines yet.

Although a stable income to support oneself as well as their family is indeed key to happiness, nothing makes me more happy than knowing someone cares for me. When someone sincerely says "I love you.", it makes me much happier than any amount of money ever could. Money indeed brings happiness for a while, but love fuels happiness for a life time.

I don't see how anyone can agree that it's a failure... the U.S. and many other countries are prime example of capitalism being a win-win situation for the manager and the employees. Talent, creativity and education are defiantly rewarded. Those three things are what it takes to get to the top. If you don't have the drive and determination to achieve things at the highest level, you failing yourself and your neighbor. It may be necessary for some to start at the bottom, but if you always are always giving the world the most you can offer, you to have to potential to rise to the top. Nothing trickles down, people rise up.

I can guarantee smokers are very aware of all the risks involved in smoking. There packages are covered with warnings of all sorts. It is their choice to use cigarettes NOT yours or the governments. Just let people have freedom and stay out of their lives, honestly...

Very good points man. it would defiantly cost the public a lot to police it, especially when dealing with dangerous drug cartels.

I choose not to smoke because its on healthy. But to ban completely because someone in congress thinks they know whats best for me?? I DONT THINK SO... In America, we are meant to be free of ridiculous laws and regulations like this. That's why thousands of Americans gave up their lives in ridding the colonies of the British regime.

Besides, if tobacco is banned, its just going to start an underground market for it, creating a lot of unnecessary violence over something as silly as cigarettes.

I think the U.S. was by far the bigger hero in WWII. To start, the Soviets had originally formed a peace treaty with Hitler and planned to split Poland they invaded. That's pretty uncool. Second, Hitler's war (in which the U.S.S.R. was fighting in) only involved Europe, so it was very heroic for the U.S. to help the Allies destroy the Nazi regime in a continent that wasn't even their own. The U.S. also single handedly ended the war in the Pacific, and freed many countries and islands previously under Japanese control. The U.S. also supplied most of the equipment for Allied troops even before they entered the war.

Pretty much, the U.S.'s goal was to protect freedom around the world, and it did a damn good job of doing just that. As for the U.S.S.R., instead of freeing the countries they took from Germany, they ruled over them with an iron fist for decades until the U.S. put a stop to that in the 1990's, but that's another story...
