Ok. I think I can see where you're from. I'm starting to see where social media could be good for democracy.

Sure, but the amount of information about everything going on around the world should at least be limited to only a few social media apps because the amount of information about the world that's already out there still brings harm to people, like at protests. If a protest starts, people can easily be hurt or worse killed because there is so much information out there already.

Sure, they start to get more comfortable with using their voices, but these marches can still lead to violence and people being killed.

Russian agents intending to sow discord among American citizens disseminated inflammatory posts that reached 126 million users on Facebook, published more than 131,000 messages on Twitter and uploaded over 1,000 videos to Google’s YouTube service. The Russia-linked posts were “an insidious attempt to drive people apart." They focused on race, religion, gun rights, and gay and transgender issues.

Ok, sure, but the circulation of misleading images follows an eruption of violence in Rakhine state that has killed more than 400 people and triggered an exodus of 40,000 Rohingya Muslims into Bangladesh.
