i, personally have played both and in my opinion the Ps3 is at least 10x better...the XBox may have "better" games but that is only due to the fact that they have been around longer as stated previously...lets see just how much longer they will last...i give them only another year or 2 ps3 is going to last until Sony makes something better and then will still be great...just look at the original PlayStation. in fact i still play it for the amazing games. and Ps3 allows you to play them again...granted the Ps3 has the YLoD just as the XBox has the RRoD but then what system can anyone say "never fails" thats just not possible everything dies eventually. not only that but those of you who said something along the lines of "Microsoft is awesome" need to learn their lesson i mean just check out this page ( http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9139459/Sneaky_Microsoft_plug_in_puts_Firefox_users_at_risk )
