social media can be used to spread racism, such as when members of the neo nazi group started posting racist things such as calling black and jewish people racial slurs and attempting to spread some propaganda about them
-marcelo
example: in 2016 at the end of the election or towards the end news outlets began spreading false rumors about the candidates.

i think that social media can be used positively like the money raised for that. but at the same time there are too many people making bad decisions on it or causing drama and ruining reputations. a lot of people will see false information or see something they dont like and start bullying and harassing the people who support it. more people use social media to spread negativity than to spread positive things.
-marcelo
but here is the thing wrong with this. people spread rumors and false information. like back towards the end of the 2016 election news outlets began spreading false information about trump and other candidates. people will also spread false info obviously but social media amplifies the spread because people with higher following can say something and then that word gets spread faster.
-marcelo
Social media isnt good because it can be used to divide people and cause issues between people
In the 2016 election russians tried dividing americans by posting false information on social media causing a further divide.
