Most people who read "The Communist Manifesto" probably have no idea that it was written by a couple of young men who had never worked a day in their lives, and who nevertheless spoke boldly in the name of "the workers".

The economic disasters of socialism and communism come from assuming a blanket superiority of those who want to run a whole economy.

One of the bitter ironies of the 20th century was that communism, which began as an egalitarian doctrine accusing capitalism of selfishness and calloused sacrifices of others, became in power a system whose selfishness and callousness toward others made the sins of capitalism pale.

The story of Detroit's bankruptcy was simple enough: Allow capitalism to grow the city, campaign against income inequality, tax the job creators until they flee, increase government spending in order to boost employment, promise generous pension plans to keep people voting for failure. Rinse, wash and repeat.

Fact is, I RESPECT the REAL you greatly.. But, the jerkoff who's using your name is betraying you, cause he's as dumb as a box of rocks..

Look, here jerkoff.. You don't know what I deleted. I don't even know what I deleted.. All I know is, it was a DUPE.

To say you DO know is STUPID, STUPID, STUPID.

You've proven my earlier point. I made a point. You didn't address my point. You addressed nothing in order to avoid the actual point I made.

The topic is drug addiction.. Are you UNABLE to stay on topic, especially since you go ballistic when I don't??

I did address the topic. Your response was "dupe". I can hardly debate myself, so I am logically required to wait for you to address my point in the first place before making a second point.

I am under the impression that you typed out something brilliant, then decided against it. I come to this conclusion because you replaced whatever gem you wrote with "dupe" despite your not having duplicated your response.

The point wasn't that the right was polite. The point was that the left, including yourself, use a "lack of politeness" to mask never making a point. Your debate opponent did make a point and with a multitude of links. In fact you're still doing it now. The topic is depression. Point me to where you spoke on depression, and I will gladly take a look at the points you made. If not, then you have made my point.

Yeah, it's true.

There's a fundamental difference exampled here between your point and mine. Your point shows someone attacking you while debating you with links that demonstrate points. The left's attacks are to avoid having to make points all together.

Many of the words and phrases used in the media and among academics suggest that things simply happen to people, rather than be being caused by their own choices and behavior. Thus there is said to be an 'epidemic' of teenage pregnancy, or of drug usage, as if these things were like the flu that people catch just by being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The difference between a policy and a crusade is that a policy is judged by its results, while a crusade is judged by how good it makes its crusaders feel.

No one can really understand the political left without understanding that they are about making themselves feel superior, however much they may talk piously about what they are going to do to help others. But frankly, attempting to make one's self feel superior does not end in happiness. It ends in defensiveness towards any threat to that attempt to feel superior.

The most fundamental fact about the ideas of the political left is that they do not work. Therefore we should not be surprised to find the left concentrated in institutions where ideas do not have to work in order to survive.

Anyone who studies the history of ideas should notice how much more often people on the political left, more so than others, denigrate and demonize those who disagree with them, instead of answering their arguments.
