I agree with your decision ,but not only would pony-boy died ,but a chain reaction which may result in many more would of happened. luckily Johnny's decision prevented the event from happening.

I think johnny was justified in doing the killing. If johnny didn't kill bob the situation could of ended out worse than this. If he didn't then after they kill pony-boy they may would of come for johnny and he would be frozen in place. if he just injured bob they would of tackled johnny and killed him. Then the other greaser may go on a rampage and kill some socs for payback. Bob was under the influence so murder and other things didn't seem bad at all. so negotiating may be a horrible idea thinking you may not gain scars. If Bob lived he would live another day to kill someone else and he can also "Negotiate" with the police since they are rich or blame the greasers for such things. Even though the greasers must be more aware at least the socs won't think of killing unless in huge groups so the greasers can't be easily picked off. Personally if that event didn't happen then the possibilities would be much worse than just one or the other dying. Plus he was doing it for self defense for himself and pony-boy.
