I am pro euthanasia of stray animals. This is of course only after educational and/or health matters have been used to try to improve the situation. Most stray animals are harmful to the human health as well as the health of other animals. If the situation could not be fixed, then I think euthanasia is the only way left to go
Its a platform for us to look up information and news. This has not make us smarter as to make us dumber. We are now using this to refer to information instead of using our own knowledge. It is now not a question of knowing something, but how quick you can look it up on your mobile device. So no, it has not make us smarter
In my own opinions, I think that in the coming future, print media will still be present as people are now still picking up newspapers and reading magazines. It has been a part of our lives for a long time and will not be disregarded easily. However, I still think that in the far future, print media will be less and less of a factor, and will eventually be pushed out of the market. The technological advances are at its peak development, and people are looking to do things more efficiently and effectively. People are constantly on the move and are looking towards their portable devices as their source for media. As the devices get smaller and more efficient, I think that eventually, printed media will be insignificant and will eventually be excluded from the market.
Make love, not war. I guess this statement is fitting to this debate question. I think overall that dating sites have had positive impact on our society, though it also have some negative side. The negative thing about it is that people can be tricked into believing that they have met the person of their dream, but then see their world crashing down on them. It is very easy to fake a dating profile, and it can also be used for fraud. However, I think it has more of a positive impact. Some people are more willing to share and talk on the web rather than meeting people in real life. Dating sites gives these people the opportunity to express their feelings and words without having the "social fear" of actually talking to another person. Also it creates more love :)
There are more factors in play here than simply being a sustainable business. In order to solve global environmental crisis, I feel that it is a combined efforts of both businesses and leisure together. However, I do feel that (especially large) businesses have a significant impact on these environmental issues. They are the ones with the most "pollution" and have the highest carbon footprint. Changes made to their businesses towards the sustainable side will mean significant reduction in environmental issues. I feel that it is not the most effective weapon, seeing as it is a combined effort, but it definitely has a large impact.
I think that they are not the most reliable source of information, but they should not be taken as unreliable either. A social media profile is a lot more personal than for example, a LinkedIn profile. From this point of view, people will be likely more open on a social media profile, therefore giving an accurate idea of how/who that person really is. As from the employer's perspective, social media profiles CAN be reliable depending on the job and what employers are looking for in a potential employee. Leisure time activities can tell a different side to a person than their business profiles suggests. Therefore, I would say that it is a source of information that should be taken into consideration and should not be disregarded
I think that if you have committed crime, you should be denied the right of privacy. If someone is willing to demoralised someone else by committing a crime onto them in any manner, they should have thought about being exposed on the Internet in the first place.
I would not say significant advantage because it also depends on the knowledge of current businesses. I would say though that with the current globalised world, it does give you a slight edge due to the fact that organisations will prefer that more to someone who doesnt have international aspects.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
