Yes, but many weren't at the same time. Many of them were deists and if they were Christians they weren't devout followers of their claimed religious orientation.

No. Being a good Christian does not mean you would make a good president. A good person might or might not be a good president.

According to the Constitution, the US cannot make a religion the "official" religion of the country, but it can't damage or ban a religion either.

It can't push the religion of evolution in science class without teaching the other side or the facts but do they they do not

If a candidate were an Atheist it would not discourage my vote for them. It is their stances on policy that matters.

Though the vast majority of the citizens of our country are Christian, we are not a Christian nation. God is mentioned nowhere in the Constitution and plenty of our Founding Fathers weren't Christian, either.
