Not if they didn't know it was illegal. For example if it was a thai law to bow whenever you meet a man, and we didn't know then it'd be absurd for us to be punished.

We are getting smarter everyday, and google is already smarter than most people, I think eventually we will make a computer that will be smart as or smarter than people and able to think.

We are people, we can make up our own minds about what we know is dangerous, plus alcohol is just about as dangerous as some drugs yet that's legal.
