Social media is good for democracy because it allows millennials to speak up about issues they care about and to get their voices to be heard.

That's when the source of the information you have received comes into play. We will also have to check whether the source is biased towards someone or something.

That's exactly why there are multiple types of social media that can help us to fact check. That will help people to be more aware on whether or not the information is correct

I agree that people no longer need to blindly follow other people anymore because of the vast resources found online using which we can fact check.

One example would be the one of George Floyd which raised awareness about the matter of black lives.
