Surely anything that possesses organs or similar and has the cognitive ability to be able to make decisions and learn from its surrounding would be classed as animals. Google quotes ¨a living organism which feeds on organic matter, typically having specialized sense organs and nervous system and able to respond rapidly to stimuli.¨ This description is clearly indicative of insects as they do in fact fulfills this description and therefore can be classified as an animal.

Music has a far deeper psychological and physiological impact than is first thought, ever feeling stressed put on an album and feel relaxed after? Not coincidence and this has been studied and I quote ¨These findings provide neurochemical evidence that intense emotional responses to music involve ancient reward circuitry in the brain. To our knowledge, this is the first demonstration that an abstract reward such as music can lead to dopamine release. Abstract rewards are largely cognitive in nature, and this study paves the way for future work to examine non-tangible rewards that humans consider rewarding for complex reasons.¨ and of course, we know the release of dopamine is the happy drug hence the positive impact that music has on the brain. Also ever noticed how people have different music tastes and how some find Nu metal relaxing while other find it annoying noise? This once again reiterates the connection that the brain and music have and how it is not just noise and has a more personal meaning that we first think of.

Absolutely, this can be observed with almost any child that has prolonged exposure to game consoles or computers, and with them being revoked the child will then end up very upset, destructive or even violent which is similar to withdrawal symptoms more commonly seen amongst alcoholics or drug addicts. This is why as a parent it is quintessential to make sure that the time that is spent on computers and gaming devices should be limited and be dispersed with other things outside such as sports. There are of course dangers that are posed with spending your whole life in front of computers which are only emphasized with prolonged exposure due to addiction.

The dangers that are associated with going to Mars far, far outweigh the scientific gains that will be associated with the increase in scientific knowledge. Take for example the background radiation, with the trip to Mars that will take around 300 days with no atmosphere, of course, the only protection that is present will be from the space rocket and this will not provide adequate protection, from a lecture that I recently attended, they concluded that the chance of death to go to Mars would be 700% (calculated using a satellite that picks up radioactive particles and relays the information back) which is obviously not worth the chance of almost certain death from just getting there. There is also the issue of fuel and other more fundamental issues that prohibit us from actually getting there.
