I agree with Lynette.

Come to think about it, when our teacher briefs us in the class debates weeks ago, she mentions that groups that are not ready [ie not enough points etc] will be immediately disqualified. Thus, it can be correct to say that finding information during real debates is considered cheating.

I disagree. Yes, it is true that it is more interesting but it depends on who is debating. Some people do not how to use the computer. Also, it is unfair for some people as some people type at different speeds. In classroom debates, we only have a limited time [3min], thus it can be fair.

Next, while it is correct to say that one can do the research while debating, people with little self-control can go websites that are not related to the debate motion. They can go youtube or some gaming websites while debating.

Therefore, online debating can be more interesting than classroom debating.
