Advances in medical science have provided cures to many diseases and good health is now taken for granted by many individuals, who mistakenly believe that undergoing medication or medical procedures can replace healthy living. for example, majority of the people continue to eat unhealthily even if they know that they might get diabetes or hypertension. the underlying reason why they continue doing so is because there is medicine and cure to control the disease and they will not die from that disease. thus people expect too much from medical science and thinks that it is able to cure or stabilize their illness and not affect their daily life activities
tv is often the channel people turn to for important news. however in the modern world, people are always busy and spends more time outside of their home. once they go home, they rarely on their television for news and serious stuff as this is their time to unwind and take their minds off the pragmatic world. thus they will seek for entertainment in the comfort of their home which is the tv for cheap and accesible form of entertainment. thus the purpose of tv is more to entertain than to educate. also since they can get the important news from online using smartphones on their way to schools or workplace since there are other channels to get what they need, television purpose to educate can be removed.
