Even though the 2nd amendment does seem to originally be written to protect the states right to a militia, that doesn't mean that it wasn't meant to guarantee the right to bear arms to all people. At that time, all able bodied men were a part of the militia. At that time, protecting the militia's right to guns also protected the right for all able bodied men to have guns because they were one and the same. Now, with the introduction of more equality and fewer militias, the founding fathers would have been more specific about protecting the right to bear arms for all people.

Honestly, I would love to have those numbers but, unfortunately, most abusive people don't say that they are abusive in a survey, so it can't be quantitatively proven. Abuse is a problem, but I would say that completely removing a child's chance at life might be a bit worse.

"Fetuses don't even breathe until the 10th week."

People on a ventilator don't breathe either, should they not have protection as well?

"I wouldn't say rape is rare..."

Only about 1-2% of abortions are obtained because they became pregnant through rape. I would consider 1-2 fairly rare.

"I understand that if you are in the the third trimester of pregnancy and your baby has a beating heart that it is not okay."

Fun Fact: The heartbeat of the child can be detected by an ultrasound after between 6.5-7 weeks after conception.

Abortions should be either severely limited or completely outlawed. I am a teenager, and I am around teenagers all of the time. I am as aware as anyone that teenagers aren’t the best at planning their actions and don’t usually think about the long term ramifications of what they do. I would say that teenagers are the most impulsive people on the planet, but even most teenagers know how to not get pregnant. It's not hard. There are lots of ways to avoid pregnancy and ways to protect yourself against it. How then, do people justify that them getting pregnant isn’t their fault. It is true that there are very rare situations where a woman gets pregnant against her will, but there is no real way to prove it conclusively. To remove a human life from the world due to hearsay seems like a ridiculous decision, no matter how old the person is. Trying to say that a woman getting pregnant isn’t her fault is like saying that if a person jumps into a pit of rattlesnakes, spraining their ankle when they land isn’t their fault. Most people have enough sense to realize that they shouldn’t become inseminated if they don’t want to be pregnant, and there are tons of ways to avoid it, from birth control to contraception to abstinence to just not putting themselves in dangerous situations. Honestly, to remove a life from the world that did nothing wrong because of the actions of its parents is depressing at best and detestable at worst. People seem to forget that once the egg gets a full set of DNA, it is no longer just the woman’s body. Suddenly, a fully new life form is created that also has a right to the protection of its body. A pregnant woman isn’t just a woman, it is a woman with a life living inside of them. The problem of abortion isn’t whether or not the woman has a right to control her body, it is whether or not she has the right to destroy the body of another person that just happens to rely on her to survive.

Gun control should be up to the federal government, not up to the state government. The federal government exists to make sure the states stay unified under a singular nation. Certain issues, like gun control laws, have huge impacts on the stability of the nation. If one state completely outlaws firearms while another state allows all people to use all firearms, there could be huge conflicts when the people move weapons across state lines or when weapons are shipped through states. This sort of conflict can lead to economic problems and how the states are coexisting, which causes gun control to fall firmly into the realm of the federal government’s enumerated powers. If something as important as gun control is regulated by the small republics of the states, gun control will fall to democratic mobs that will implement laws that may help them in the short term, but it could lead to turmoil in the entire country long term. In addition, another power that gun control relates to is the power to raise and support a military. If gun control is left to a state by state basis, there is a fair chance that certain states will have no limits on the types of firearms that people can own. The national military needs to be powerful enough to hold its own against threats, but if there are civilians who are able to own dangerous weapons that would only be used in taking down huge numbers of people, the national military will not be able to easily take care of the threat. If the federal government is unable to properly regulate weaponry, they will have issues setting up a military that can properly protect the people of this country because people will have the firepower to destroy huge swaths of their forces.

I would rather swim in a McDumpster than a Taco Bell Dumpster because I feel that the McDumpster would be a bit cleaner. The reasons for this are that most of McDonald's food options are fairly dry, so swimming in the dumpster would be less likely to cause you to be covered in wet ingredients and that McDonald's uses obscene amounts of preservatives that would make it where their dumpster would be less rancid than the Taco Bell dumpster.
