Can you do better ? I didn't think so.... its a form of entertainment which has evolved through history. In ancient sports the victor was rewarded with life while the loser wasn't so lucky. Now in a more humane society the prize has become more materialistic and helps the economy. Its natural so stop hating
No man.... the name is Puerto Rico which means rich port in Spanish. Its obvious that the acquisition of Puerto Rico will benefit the United States financially as we will tax them and gain a new popular tropical resort destination which is sure to gain mucho monedas!!!!!!
I think that Puerto Rico should become a state in the United States of America because of three main reasons. First off, as a territory Puerto Rico is basically mooching off America. Currently, Puerto Rico as a U.S. territory Puerto Rico receives the protection of the United States in time of war. They also receive the benefits of being U.S. citizens without having to pay taxes to the U.S. government. Becoming a state would give Puerto Rico the opportunity of improving its economic situation. Puerto Rico will receive taxes from their citizens to build the infrastructure of the state. They will have an open market to trade with all nations that are in alliance with the U.S. This would also make them accountable for contributing to our and now their nation. The second main reason is that by becoming a state Puerto Rico would be able to gain a foothold in congress which would help to break that ever occurring tie between republicans and democrats. By becoming a state P.R. would gain 2 spots at congress which is given to them by the constitution. And finally the united states would gain a new and ever growing vacation resort which in turn would help our economy immensely. I feel that this new tropical vacation spot would draw a lot of attention to the U.S. and ultimately be better for Puerto Rico as well. That’s why it should be a state.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
