if abortion was illegal it would still occur. it would be dangerous to the mother as well. it was legallised in england out of pity for the women who felt they had to resort to it, to protect their well being and the rest. it should stay legal, it will always be something that happens. some women perform self abortions with metal clothing hangers and end up dead. if abortion was not possible at all meaning whether illegal or not just not physically possible then i bet a lot of the women who desperately need them would kill themselves.

i think it is possible that people are born neither heterosexual nor homosexual instead they are born plain 'sexual', then our traditions, religions and cultures help to mould a particular preference which for some becomes second nature/natural and not so much for the others they may be less receptive to external stimuli. Of course personal preferences come into it as well, i do not suppose to suggest that we have arachnophobia in society due to upbringing.

it is sexist from a modern not necessary liberal point of view and ultimately it is, meaning that the tradition holds form through the religion which clearly states it believes men to be superior to women (this applies to Christianity as well). i do not think the men we would refer to as sexist comprehend the notion, and i do believe that they mostly do it to gain the highest levels of respect for their women and out of an earnest desire to get all they care about to heaven.
