I don't know what it is but I do think there's something better. We just need to keep improving what we have. Whether we are moving forwards is up for debate, maybe we'll never reach it, maybe we will.

I like it, anyone I dont want to talk to can be easily blocked or not even added in the first place. I think it's one step back towards when people used the phone and met in the flesh. I think Facebook is a good tool to find people but talking at length via it is creepy. Of course I say that while participating in an internet debate so what do I know?
