Technological progress does more bad because of the way it is used. Because technology is advancing much faster that what most people can handle, it is becoming a problem with how different people and groups of people use it. It is being taken advantage of, especially in the context of the government and military. They have excuses for using harmful technology, such as drones, to harm and kill suspected enemies, even with little to no evidence. It could be that because the drones allow for military force without soldiers, the government does not think of it as "war", but most likely some other form of battle in which it is acceptable to kill suspects in countries that they are not at war with. This abuse of technology comes from the out-of-control advancements made either by private companies or the government. Without knowing the consequences of bigger and more harmful battle weapons, the end goal of saving our people's lives is lost, and instead they are focusing on killing more of the enemy's people. The technology that what created to save is now being used to destroy. This is an obvious abuse of power and technology. As a result, technological progress is NOT good, because it distracts from the problems that it tries to solve.
