Iraq should be blamed for starting the Gulf War as they were the first and main aggressor in this conflict.Firstly, Heavy in debt from the Iran-Iraq war, Iraq called on Kuwait to cancel the debts they held, reason being payments for protecting the Arabian Peninsula. When denied, Iraq threatened to reignite a conflict over Bubiyan and Warbah islands, that are important for trade. Secondly, through a meeting with the US ambassador, April Glaspie, over the accusation of Kuwait taking oil beyond their boders from Iraq and overproduction of oil, Iraq was warned of the use of violence to settle this issue. Despite warnings, Iraq invaded Kuwait based on these earlier disputes as reason, shortly after the meeting. Iraq, the main aggressor, threatened and then started the invasion of Kuwait, which would be beneficial to Iraq's economy as they would have control over the rich oil fields in Kuwait. Therefore, with this reason Iraq should be blamed for starting the Gulf War.

Raffles couldn't be in Singapore ,he provided the resources needed even thought he wasn't there.

Farquhar was only Raffles assistant, without him starting the search he might not even find and colonize Singapore.

Raffles appointed Farquhar in charge of infant settlements when he left for Bencoolen.( on feb 7)

Raffles was the one who bought the land for the British East India Company, Which became a bustling port.
