At what point was there a contradiction? I stated that the -average- 13 year old does not possess what some of us are looking for. Stop trolling.
(Famous Quote) If you want a man to build a boat, don't tell him to build a boat, but make him long for the sea.
The same concept works for people. You don't tell people what to do or what they can't do. You manipulate the tar out of them until they want (or don't want) to do it. Weak minded people tend to bend easier.
Alternatives. In the long run this would prove to be cheaper (Sun/Wind power) and like most Americans I am motivated by money... (J/k about the money part).
A tax on sugary sweets is outrageous (especially considering the price on sugar has gone up with importation laws being changed). People should be able to eat as unhealthy as they wish because it's their deathbed or health insurance that they have to pay for their diabetes medication.
Kids used to play with popguns during cowboys and Indians. Though there was less gore, the situation was still the same. I think bad parenting is a larger cause of behavioural problems (not to say that it is the only cause).
That is what escalation of force is for. If it is called for then yes. It is an effective, non-lethal, alternative for shooting them and, well, the police officer doesn't know if the fan is dangerous or not. It's better for him to presume that the fan is dangerous rather than allow the fan the option to do something. (He could be wearing an SVEST for all the police officer knows)
Gladiator Arena. Nice. I would support that for capital crimes.
Well... with us using wright in the wrong context it does make us look pretty dumb.
wright - a person who creates, builds, or repairs something specified (playwright or shipwright)
I had this conversation about two days ago. As a whole we have become more... tolerant than we were before. We are less accepting of genocide than some of our predecessors.
I agree with the idea that there should be an age requirement. Most of the people who want to see debated topics are looking for insight into both sides of an argument and realistically I don't think the average 13 year old can provide that, although be it that some 13 year-old could be wiser than his or her years...
Weird point to mention, but in Christianity there are multiple gods (Also in Judaism) mentioned. Let -us- make man in -our- image. Christianity really recognizes God as the one that created all on our realm (I also believe in evolution). He also states "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Not that we cannot have other gods, but that none can come BEFORE Him.
Just a little bit of hermeneutics...
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
