I know it's morally wrong and all that, but I know that everyone here has said it at least once in their life: "God, some people just shouldn't be able to have kids!"
The answer is really very simple: because you haven't paid anything back yet.
Had you paid, then it would have been less.
Ending a couple of wars could help, then our boys and girls can go home too... little side-effect of getting involved with the NATO. ouch!
Yes, but only when proven that the parents are putting their children in danger.
Of course not! No matter what point people want to make, surely they understand that protesting at a funeral is one of the most disrespectful things one can do! How can someone even think about insulting the dead and their mourning families like that?
Those protesters might as well walk up to the widow(er)s and say: "I find voicing my opinion more important than your loss right now"
The USA should be the land of opportunities. People who illegally immigrate to another country often bring their children. Should these children be denied perspective in their lives, in other words: be punished for something their parents did and therefore be disparaged for the rest of their lives?
The problem of segregation is big enough as it is. Not giving these children the same opportunities as their 'legal' counterparts will not only cause more poverty and regular crime, but also divide people, leading to more hate crimes. I was always taught that education can make the world a better place.
It is child exploitation and emotional abuse. Children get pimped 'n sexified to bring in cash. Child beauty pageants aren't about talent, they aren't even about beauty: they are all about mommy. And these so called 'mommies' go as far as waxing a 5-year-old's eyebrows. When these children (mostly girls) grow up, they'll have a distorted world view, thinking the whole world revolves around how good others think you look (instigating eating disorders and such), and are likely traumatized by the cruel treatment they are often put through. They are humans, not dolls!
Some pageant moms may not be like this, but the vast majority ARE, so this practice should be eradicated.
Children have enough time to be grown up when they are grown ups. If they like pageants then, they can choose to enter THEMSELVES.
Sports, playing house, hide-and-seek, tag, painting, playing a musical instrument, riding bikes and skating: those are the things a child should do!
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
