If I had to save one book I would save to kill a mockingbird because trust me, it will change your life.

If you could only save one book, which would it be and why?

If I could save one book it would be my picture book. It has every picture my parents and I have ever taken and it's very special.

Is knowledge power? why or why not?

Knowledge is power because you have to be smart to get far in life. You probably wont get very far if you don't even know 2+2.

Are ideas dangerous? why or why not?

Ideas can be dangerous at times. For example, an idea to destroy the world is very bad and dangerous, but is it going to happen, probably not.

Is there an idea you would be willing to die for? What is it?

If god came down and said, " I will bring you to heaven right now if you convert 10 people to Christianity," then yes, I would die for that.

Should people read "old" books? Why or why not?

People should read old books. Two examples of old books people read every day is the bible and to kill a mockingbird. I think old books strengthen peoples understanding of our history and are way of life.

1. Is mercy killing right or wrong? Why or why not?

Mercy killing in my opinion is right in circumstances which involve death in the end. For example, A person might be extremely hurt and put in a hospital, if things are soooo bad, I think that person has the right to choose what he wants to do.

2. What should society do with its old or crippled people (like Candy)?

Society in 2010 would put Candy in a nursing home and take care of him. But in the 30s, times were tough and people had to fend for themselves. For Candy's sake, he would probably remain at the ranch.

3. What should society do with its mentally challenged people (like Lennie?)

Once again, in 2010 they would put him in a mental health system, but since its the 30's, he would need someone to take care of him. In this case it would be George, after all, he was made responsible for Lennie's wellbeing.

4. Was Lennie's death justified? I believe Lennie's death was justified because his life before the shooting was full of hardship and pain. Right before he was killed he was thinking the happiest thought he knew of, rabbits and George. So since he died happy and peacefully, I believe his life was justified.

I do not think I will like this book. First of all, I don't like the small print because it is harder for me to read it. Second, the characters talk in a slang language that can be confusing every once in awhile. But, I guess I just need to give the book a chance and read it to the best of my ability.

If you look at it in the biblical point of view, everyone is our brother. Just how God told us that we need to tithe, part of that could be helping our brothers.
