Whysocial media is good there is opportunity for us to connect with our representatives at all levels. Sometimes people must speak out and demonstrate what they believe is right.”

well fake news is evreywhere even like the TV channels spread fake news or try to either hide the baad news that affect the side they relate too such as CNN and FOX NEWS each one of them spread or talk about news that shows how good the side they support exampel the U.S 2020 election trump supporters were most likely watching and getting news from FOX NEWS biden supporters were getting news from CNN and none of the channles show what are bad things the side you support have while social media people talk like they want and there are sources were you can check if it's fake or not but in social media you can see the truth more but am not saying there is no fake news tho

so is social media good for democracy? So for me I'd say yes.A reason for social media being good for democracy is that social media is a powerful tool for activist movements. Activist movments ,there is good and bad exampels for it.(There is good and bad in evreything in this world nothing is perfect). Bad exampels such as BLM ,reasons for it being bad there action were based on violence toward innocents people and innocent business owners. Good example Free palestine an movment were they show people stuff happening in palestine such as killing taking innocents people and children and they also donate to people there. And there is more good Activist movments that have good affects to this world.
