Both parties do and will spend more on the military than they collect in personal income tax. Both parties will keep siphoning taxpayer funded gifts with stupid amounts of digits to the banking families and debase your purchasing power through rampant inflation. Beyond that, they can disagree all they like. These positions are blatant preconditions to being promoted as the primary candidate in either party.
