1.) Mercy killing in my opinion is wrong because we are not the ones who decide when our time has come. In the case of Candy's dog, it was acceptable because it was suffering, but it was a dog, not a human.Humans were created in God's image (Genesis 1:27), but animals were not, therefore taking the life of a dog is much different than that of a person.

2.)For people like Candy, society should give back to them for all of the hard work that they have put in over their lifetime and should be taken care of, like the government does today with social security, medicare, nursing homes and benefits such as this.

3.) For people like Lennie, society should accept the fact that they are different and try to accommodate them accordingly with mental homes and special education programs.

4.) Lennie's death was not justified because he did not want to die and he wasn't suffering. It was not George's decision to make whether it was Lennie's time to go or not.

I think that I will like this book. I like Lennie and George's personalities and how they show the way that we should look after each other. The language that the author uses makes it interesting as well.

Well through my eyes, God put us on this Earth to help each other and support each other. We are all a part of one big team in a sense, and in a team you are only as strong as your weakest link. In this case, we must all be responsible for supporting and making our weakest links stronger, no matter what condition our brothers are in. Yes, we are our brother's keepers.
