People online are ages 15 - 35 (or even younger), which means that they can see these images of other people and make them feel like they aren't the best person they can be. It can hurt people’s mental health as well. Teens are also forming their identities as well so this can make them feel bad about themselves.
Although, not many people fact check because they usually go with the flow of everyone else, or they just believe it's true right away.
Although for some people Facebook is their only was of getting news (including fake news), and they might not be able to check if it is true/false or biased information.
Social media can cause people to not feel like themselves anymore, and young kids/teens can get the wrong image and think that they aren’t getting what other people are getting.
