Sonic is better than mario because he is the world's fastest and coolest hedgehog. In his games and shows, he has different storylines. Sonic saved the world more times than mario did, and he is not a quitter. However, mario always has the same intention to save the princess from bowser in his adventure games and shows. Most of the time without any power-ups, mario only jumps, kicks, and squashes animals. Sonic does not need over thirty power-ups like mario to fight against enemies. The only power-ups he needs to depend on are rings and 7 chaos emeralds and 7 super emeralds to become hyper sonic to destroy mario by using his flash. Sonic has better attacks without any power-ups such as, spindashing, rolling into a ball, and jump on enemies to use homing attacks. In sonic advance 1, he has another special move where he can trip robots and flip backwards. He has a better sense of humor than mario. The characters in his games are better, faster, and stronger than the mario characters. In the sonic games, you can hear the characters speaking English instead of only using captions in mario games. Also, he has better music in his games. Sonic has so many other transformations such as, werehog, darkspine sonic, excalibur sonic, dark sonic, super sonic, and hyper sonic. He has the ability to combine with shadow to become hyper shadic to take down mario. The type of people you see around mario are basically toad people and clouds with smiles on their faces. However, sonic is better than mario because you see more friendly faces and actual people around him, and has a bigger fanbase. Finally, sonic has to fight against harder enemies such as, shadow, knuckles, mephiles, dr. robotnik's robots, chaos 6, and other enemies.
