1. As far as I know marriage isn't for women to be whipped around and be told to make sandwiches, it is to spend the rest of your life with the one person (unless you're mormon) you love the most and to be officially united.

2. I agree.

3. I hate when people bring nationality and color into this. Sally Sue didn't choose to be white and she can't stop it without harming herself either. Todd James didn't choose to be black either. You people say "we can't choose who we love" but I disagree a bit. I don't think we were supposed to be falling in love with the same sex and if we do feel that attraction it is easy to stop it. This applies with any genders. We are born man or woman (minus a few genetic mutations), not both. There are two genders solely for the reason of reproduction, which is what intercourse was intended for. Not for enjoyment.

4. Again, why would you bring the amount of melanin in our skin (as our color is only an adaption of our surroundings) into a discussion about homosexuality?

5. Not all men are some raging savages and if a woman is stupid enough to marry a man like that then she may deserve that relationship. That isn't an excuse to "try something new" and fornicate with Mary Anne down the street.

Religion is a large part of many of our country's laws. If you live in America and don't like it then move. If you don't live in America respect his/her opinions. Not just religion goes into it. I find watching two homosexuals making out like a normal couple in a public place disturbing and sick. I know many probably feel the same about straight people but that's just my opinion. Plus, I think it would really confuse children to see something like that.

I'm against homosexuals and homosexual marriage but I believe such things are out of my hands and I shouldn't be violent or insulting with such things just because.

I am not against homosexuals at all but I think marriage should be reserved for man and woman. Many people I know agree they don't want their children to see two homosexuals holding hands and making out in the middle of the street so that their children think it is alright and (if religious) God intended that. Unless the marriage is not at a church and there's no religion involved I don't think it is right. I'm okay with them just signing papers though. I believe it does hurt people because as my first example said many straight parents don't want their children thinking such a thing is natural and it also strongly disturbs some people.

This is not supposed to be a funny question but I'm really curious...

When they're getting married do they both wear tuxedos or does one wear a dress? And do they not have Bridesmaids at all?

There is some good rap, mostly back when it first came out, but now it all sounds the same with all that auto-tune and the same verses and it's all about the same things. I feel a connection to metal and it usually isn't inappropriate as rap.

I believe sometimes the rebellion is necessary but for the most part if the teen isn't greatly hurting their self or someone else everything is okay. People say rebellion is a natural part of being a teenager but I've never been rebellious before, if anything my parents complain I'm too uptight and need to have friends and socialize.

I'm not taking a side but it is really hard for someone like you who is more of a mentally stable and stronger (in a sense) person to understand how sensitive some children are and how much it can affect them ( which is the side you chose anyway). There are some children who can't take it and commit suicide. When I was younger I cried almost everyday when I came home from school (in my teenage time) because of not only people pushing and physical violence, that didn't bother me much, but the way they thought of me and laughed as they walked pass me with their group of friends. I care deeply about peoples' opinions on me though I try to stop and pray I didn't but I do and even the slightest look of mockery would make me extremely uncomfortable. The words young children to nonchalantly spit out nowadays is disturbing and shocking. I blame the media, not exactly the parents as I believe children have the power to choose who they want to be and listen to.

The bully isn't always pulling something random out of nowhere, something it's true. For example when a bully bullies someone for being mentally disabled, their parents being alcoholics, homosexual, stupid, etc. it could be the truth and a sensitive topic for the victim. And if it is true you say they should do something about it well, as much as I somewhat agree, that is where the students coming to school with guns and killing more people than necessary comes in. Thanks for voting.

Unless it's a textbook you really don't learn much. Many people say "oh, children learn new words and stuff" but if the child already doesn't want to read I highly doubt they will look up any words they don't understand. School is a time for learning, the reason there are breaks are so children can take a break, not so they can fail an assignment for SCHOOL at HOME for not reading a book. Most children read fictional books anyway.

Yes, because fictional characters are far beyond just a smiley face on a piece of paper. They have personalities, appearances, and are purposefully better than real people. They don't have physical genetic flaws and they can't break your heart or deny you. Fanfictions and such sometimes include "OCs" and get the reader involved which simulates real life with this character. Just because they "aren't real" (which they are real to some people who have different concepts of real) doesn't mean you can't feel an attraction to them. It's like seeing a movie actor or actress on TV. You know you'll never be able to be with them or even meet them but that doesn't matter because you admire and love them so much. You dedicate a part of your life to them by checking news about them, their history, other movies they've done, etc. If a fictional character has a personality, events in their lives, family & friends, an appearance, a voice, a life, isn't that about the same as a real person? But they can't dump you or cheat on you after getting you pregnant... that was both the truth and a joke.

I have a lot... I'll just name one from each anime (not all though, that'd be a loooong list):

-Rin x Len - Vocaloid

-Sakura x Sakura - Naruto

-Misa x Mello - Death Note

-Yuki x Aido - Vampire Knight

-Amu x Ikuto - Shugo Chara

-Chihiro x Haku - Spirited Away

Um, Shugo Chara, Naruto, Sailor Moon, Tokyo Mew Mew, Fruits Basket, Azumanga Daioh, Mermaid Melody, Lucky Star, A Little Snow Fairy Sugar, Magical Do-Re-Mi, Big O, Castle in the Sky, Spirited Away, Cardcaptor Sakura, Kiki's Delivery Service, Sonic X, Winter Garden, need I name more? A lot of anime isn't exactly "child appropriate" (not all, just many) because Japan is not so strict about what is "OK" for children. In America Katy Perry's video was banned from Sesame Street because it showed a little "cleavage" while in Japan a shirtless woman is nothing sexual. Because of this some Japanese children are more mature and don't freak out over such things as a short skirt. I'm not dissing American children or anything like that, it is just a cultural difference.

LOL anime being occupied with sex? As if. Turn on your TV and flip to a random channel and I promise you chances are it will be about one of the three things: Money, Sex, or Drugs. Not all anime is about big boobs and screaming girls, unless you're some closet otaku with a hentai fetish. There are many animes that teach young children life lessons. I learned so much more from anime than anything else in my life. If it's a really good series it will really make you ask yourself questions you never though you'd encounter about true life.

Here are some of the many examples:

Shugo Chara -

Anime series about a girl who can't be honest with herself and show who she truly is, she doesn't even really know who she really is inside. She finds eggs of her "guardian characters" one day, each showing a different possibility of herself. As the series goes one she becomes more and more like an honest, happy person. She finally has friends and people who genuinely care about her.

Naruto/Naruto Shippuden -

About ninjas in a team called "Team 7". Naruto Uzumaki is the main character and a hyper, easily excited person. Despite his childish ways his parents died immediately after he was born trying to save their village because he has a nine-tailed beast caged inside of him. After the beast's attack on the village everyone looks down on him and hates him, fearing another attack on their village. He is teamed with Sasuke Uchiha, one of the last two survivors of the Uchiha clan after his brother (other survivor) killed his whole clan. Sasuke wants nothing more than revenge on his brother because of this and trains to become stronger. Sakura Haruno is their last member beside their sensei (teacher) and she is a rather simple girl obsessed with Sasuke, claiming she will always love him. One night in the series Sasuke leaves to gain more power to kill his brother, Sakura trying to stop him in the process. He tells her "thank you" and promptly knocks her out, leaving her on a nearby bench. Naruto and Sakura dedicate the rest of their lives trying to bring Sasuke back, as they'd all became so close to him. The rest of the long series continues like this, Sasuke plotting to destroy their village, Sakura still in love with him, and Naruto becoming more and more mature. I believe the most interesting part of this series is Sakura's feelings. She was always the weakest member of Team 7, very, very slowly becoming stronger until she was one of the strongest female ninjas of their village and the best medic under Tsunade, their leader and a member of the highest ranked ninjas ever. Despite all of this strength she finally has she still feels weak, not because she of her physical strength but because she is still in love with the now "evil" man that abandoned her and never returned her feelings. Their village wants to kill him and he has done so many murders and so much harm yet she still loves him and only him.

Hello Kitty -

Yes, this is an anime too. It is appropriate for all ages and I still find myself enjoying her innocent, adorable ways. She has a large group of friends that are willing to help her in any ways they can and she only shows them the kindness and love of all the world. Every episode is filled with wholesome humor and sweet moments that will make you coo and adore her even more.

For those who say "anime is only a short trend" check the dates. Anime has been around since WAY before WWII and statistics show more and more people from all around the world are becoming attracted to it. Woot, sweaty guys tossing around balls and yelling over a stupid game V.S. entertainment and life lessons as well as education for children. Anime = manga = reading = higher literacy.

Fashion trends are highly influenced by current media, which usually isn't the most appropriate thing out there, and children find these appealing.

I might seem a bit biased as I am what many Americans call a "weeaboo", or someone obsessed with Japan and Japanese culture but I think Japan's leader was in the wrong--not Japan. Saying Japan as a whole is responsible for the attack on Pearl Harbor would be exactly like saying someone high in the executive branch, Obama,'s views represent all of ours. He approves gay marriage-everyone in America does.

Anyway, I do believe Japan's leader at the time was too obsessed with power and taking over the world and should not have attacked us first. But, I also find it inappropriate to fight fire with devastation. The attack from Japan was on a measly island in our large country while we so "fairly" took out a large chunk of their already small territory. Such a powerful bomb could have been used as a warning and that would have probably been enough to frighten the Asian country but some of us had to say "nobody touches our land and gets away with it, because we're possessive savages and know how to make a huge weapon to blow your country to pieces". Besides, the attack on Hawaii was solely aimed at the military (less that half of America's population, far less) and we had bombed more citizens than anything else. We can go troll around Hawaii without a fear in the world but in Japan there are still effects of radiation from MORE THAN ONE ATOMIC BOMB. Most people (usually the younger ones) have already forgotten or have never even heard of the battle in Pearl Harbor but in Hiroshima the wound is still fresh.

I hear a lot of people saying we have to look at this and such with an open mind but, honestly, isn't that just selling yourself? If you don't agree with something why would your take the others down with you claiming "have an open mind". Having an open mind to me is supposed to involve things like a new dish at a restaurant or a new country--not criminal acts that harm millions of people regularly. The point of having an open mind is to expand your knowledge in a positive way, not to find some good in a mentally unstable criminal and encourage the rest of the world to say "hey, they're only kids, they wouldn't matter so much. Let's watch them being abused and raped on camera so we can add to the demand!". With the millions of jobless, poor people in the world that desperately need financial aid and money something illegal, easy, and high in demand would definitely spark, even with people who wouldn't usually be attracted in such a thing. Anything to stay alive and keep food on their table, even if they have to risk their morals. I'm not saying I'm closed minded and don't want people to try to accept things they usually wouldn't, it's somewhat of a double standard, but some things are illegal for a reason.

Watching child pornography would cause the "cliche" emotional damage to the victim(s) and the child's peers would bully them to no end. Child porn is immoral in many religions (I do acknowledge it's accepted in many as well) anyway. If watching child pornography was legalized that would only influence more people to create it and our prisons would be overflowing with screwed up perverts. Anyone who says it should be legalized as far as I care is interested in such things and would willingly force innocent children into sexual favors and abuse for their own sick joys if they could get away with it/it was legal. Just my measly opinion.
