Sitting is not done a lot in school at all. Nowhere near it. Not a bad age to be sitting some in a sleep either; preschoolers need it too. The wooden or plastic chairs are nice for life anyway; much nicer than most couches; a floor is nice too.

I'm not sure how this site works, but yeah: I don't think there's such a thing as 'junk food' beyond things like 'Vanillin, Nutmeg and artificial trans-fats.' -- Those were my enemies. Still are some couple decades later.
