What do you mean 'funded'? It was considered a payment for the favour that we had done for you! We had helped to curb a fundamentalist state (i.e. Iran) and averted a religious crisis for the Arab countries in the region.

Our country Iraq was right in laying claim over your land as it originally belonged to us. We had inherited the Ottoman empire and historically, Kuwait was part of the Ottoman empire, isn't it?

There's no clear evidence that we were stealing oil from Iraq. It is just an assumption that has yet to be proven!

The peaceful talks weren't 'peaceful' at all. It was somewhat antagonistic as Kuwait didn't even bulge when our country, Iraq, placed reasonable demands on Kuwait.

Why is improvement in one own's military infrastructure a threat to another country? Can't Iraq have the right to defend itself, especially after fighting the Iraq-Iran war?
