School uniforms have only one purpose: make you feel as insignificant and mass-produced as possible. It completely erases all traces of personal expression.

I can't see one good thing about it.

People like to think that that makes children (specifically, girls) more united, because there's no "flaunting". Well, that's wrong. Also, it puts the blame on the girls instead of the people who perpetuate this notion, and society, which birthed this concept.

If a person wants to flaunt it, they damn well should.

Telling kids to hide their bodies is body-shaming and toxic. It teaches them, especially people with boobs, that their bodies are inherently bad, that their bodies should never be seen. Do you really want your child to hate their body like that?

Instead, try telling little Joe that the world does NOT revolve around what makes his weenie happy.

And just to add to this part: my gym teacher is 26 and he has abs you could skate on. He also looks like Ryan Gosling. And yet, not a single teenager has ever lost their abilities to focus because of his attractiveness.

Besides, uniforms are expensive, yo. Seventy-five dollars for a freaking shirt?! What, is it made out of unicorn hairs? Add the hundred and twenty dollars that you'd need for the pants, and the two hundreds you'd need for the shoes, and you have a bill that's higher than all of my 7 pairs of pants combined with my 8 pairs of shorts.

And you'd probably need to buy new ones every six months or so, because the fabrics they use are only good for washcloths.

Probably not even that.
