I am Catherine from 2E4.

On this motion, I disagree that online debating is more interesting than classroom debating. Firstly, in classroom debating, the speaker get to say their points and explanantion with expression and also can add more drama to the speech.Usually, when the speaker speaks with such emotion on their stand, people will tend to be more interested. However in online debating, it is just words on the computer which portrays no emotion,so in a way, it is quite boring.

Secondly, in classroom debates, the other side will rebutt and say their main points almost immediately. Therefore, classroom debates will be faster than online debates. However, in online debating, we might have to wait to get a reply from the other team. This process can be quite slow and the debate will be never-ending.

Thirdly, online debate does not spark much interest in getting the other team to rebutt. However, in classroom debate, you get to see the person faace to face and will feel a sudden urge to argue with their point.

Fourthly, classroom debates can also train our "brain-power" as we are supposed to think our rebuttals on the spot. However, on online debating, we can take some time to think about our rebuttal so it is actually not as fun as classroom debating.
