For starters I think that the US would have hit the depression anyway. I think that if the Dawes Plan wasn't put into effect that the same results would have occurred.

I think that the Dawes Plan only slowed down the emanate depression that was closing in on the USA. It was just a nice little treat for the Germans who were used to paying wheel barrows full of money to buy a loaf of bread. But really the whole thing was Germany's fault anyway mainly due to the starting of WWI.
